Got a day out thinking about W2/Skyline or the beast, done the beast before is afan worth a change ?

I'd say it is, i've not done Skyline but W2 is good fun and the whites level section of it is great.

W2 get's my vote .. Skyline has too much fire road.

I liked Skyline - doesn't make sense to criticise it for not being singletrack all the way round, since it doesn't set out to be such. CYB Beast is much more technical.
