Sorry for asking something that probably gets almost as often as asking what the time is.
I am heading over to Afan for a weekend in November. Can anyone recommend a good bunkhouse or B&B nearby that does not cost too much?
Thanks
Brynteg House in Cymmer and The Queens in Glyncorryg. Both are great and very reasonable
try Afan Forest Bunk house in Cymmer... the trails pretty much run past the back door, its very reasonabley priced and has a hot hose pipe for post ride rinsing! I'm heading there this weekend.

Bryn Bettws Mountain Centre literally is on the wall trail...
Queens B&B is reasonable, has a lockup & a jet wash (or a hose, I can't remember). Nice people running it too.
Brynteg House in Cymmer, excellent and was there 4 weeks ago
Another Queens vote here. Though it is up for sale at the moment.
Queens is great . As already mentioned it run by a nice couple too - which is always nice.
I'm up there myself in a few weeks and as I csn get in the queens on the dates I need I was going to try either brynteg house or possibly Afan lodge. Anyone any experience of the latter?

This place is also good with a warehouse you can lock your Van/bikes in!
sitting outside havin a beer at night you will think your in Twin Town!
+1 for Bryn Teg.
Luffy has a new place to stay, http://www.dropoffcafe.com/links.php Not been there, but he's a top man so I would be willing to say it's good!
Hey all, awakening a common thread, apologies.
2 of us were booked in at the Lodge for an overnighter next weekend (17th). However apparently they have double booked us and it seems everywhere is booked up as well.
Does anyone know what the situation is at the Drop Off. I know in the past it was open in the evenings for people camping at Glencorrwyg, but I don't know if thats the case now? Happy to camp but would rather have somewhere to chill out in the evening rather than sit in a (probably) wet tent.
Cheers
Tim
