Does anyone know a good place to stay for the night near afan. needs to sleep about 6 hairy bikers and have a secure bike lock up.

What about the campsite at the trailhead?
Neath castle hotel ( dodgy place Neath) but has wherehouse where you can put the van with the bikes in) 😀

premier inn port talbot. £22 each per night including breakfast based on 2 sharing if you book early. Can keep clean bikes in the hotel room or get the key to the 'boiler room'.

Another vote for Bryns Teg and Bettws.
Luffy (Sadly now ex of the cafe) has a place up there as well, which is apparently very good. Not stayed there myself, but worth a look. Don't have the link to hand.
Bryn Teg. Nice place with secure bike lock up. However parking in the village is an issue and casual damage to vehicles is not unknown!
