Seen this online as a possible place to stay to ride the stanes. Any experiences anyone?

no experience, looks nice and is a short ride to trail head or can start with Granny Greenlove.
Also nearby and bike friendly; http://www.wallamhill.co.uk/ although heading north for a Porsche rally soon

Ae Farm Cottages are good quality self catered apartments, right next to the trails and as Trekster said close to the trailhead, shop & cafe are a 5 - 10 min cycle from the farm.
Another good place nearby (10 min drive) is Kinnelhook ... which has an indoor pool 🙂

AeBS, that is stunning. Must have a look round there next time I am out that way on the road bike.
