oh SO annoying ๐

Set up
Forks= Fox vanilla RC in VGC
Brakes = Hope mono mini double piston (not M4)
Rotor= Hope floating
The rear set up is just bog standard 160 rotor and runs perfectly, brake off with zero rubbing - buttery smooth & spins longer than a chief whip's BS!
The front has been a royal PITA! Upgraded the front from a 160 to a 202 hope rotor. Braking power was/is brills, but I couldn't stop the rubbing regardless of shimming. So, upgraded again to a hope floating as research seemed to suggest they eradicate this sort of problem.

The two methods I've used
A
1. Opened up pads (new ones) to seat pistons.
2. fit, align & part screw bolts in.
3. Apply brake and hold
4. fit shims.
5. Tighten.
result= rubbish, rubbing more than standard rotor
B
as above to 3.
4. Tighten bolts up.
Very tempted to bin the floating rotor for a meaty fixed, any suggestions?
Why should the rear be such a POP to set up, yet the front is so .....pernickerty???
Hugs & kisses

You need to follow the video on the hope site for best reults - Its a two stage process - centre the caliper on the disc and then centre the pistons in the caliper.
Are you sure both pistons are moving freely?
