Hi, Just about to take charge of my new Cube Ltd Race 29er....
The tyres as it stands are Schwalbe Rapid Rob 2.25...
I live on the southdowns in West sussex sometimes rides Surrey too...
General riding is singletrack, lots or roots and well muddy during the rainy season... pretty chalky too.
Any advice on winter tyres would be great!
Ta Ben.
My advice is to just ride it with the tyres it comes with.
Only think about changing them once you've done a bunch of rides and got used to how the bike rides and if there are areas where they don't feel great.
Cheers Dave, I get what youre sayin but where i live and ride these tyres wont stand up to this time of year... Ta Ben.
Maxxis Beavers come recommended
Bontrager Mud X likewise
Both are a little narrow though, but great in the mud. Specialized also do a couple of decent 29er tyres. Or there's always Schwalbe Nobby Nics if you're a fan. Oh, and Conti Rubber Queens are soon to be available in 29er flavour according to the display at the bike show!
Maxxis swamp thing super tacky 2.5's well you want grip and here's plenty of it
Schwables Hans Dampf
