Right, this isn't a sneaky advert but a genuine request for advice. I'm sure someone will have a strop though.

The wife and I have recently gone through the process of fitting shorter cranks. So, what to do with the left overs?

There's two xt a d an xtr going spare now.
Would they be better sold as cranks (we keep the rings for spares)?
Sold as chainsets with part worn rings?
Sold as old cranks, new rings, new bottom bracket, spacers and fitting tools?

What is there most demand for?

worn chain rings are pretty worthless, but it leaves the buyer to decide what to do with them.

That's why I'm wondering. The rings are running fine right now with new chains and fairly fresh blocks so could swap onto the new cranks and continue to do so. Just wondering if they're worth more to me as spares because I know they've still got a good while longer left in them.
