Hi folks

I'm currently riding a singular hummingbird 6-9er. On the front i have a Maxis Ignitor 29er and on the rear i have a 26 inch Panaracer Trailraker.

Where i live i usually have to ride or track or road to get to good trails i'm looking for tyres that are ok in the mud but still roll reasonably well. i've never been able to make my mind up if i like the Ignitor on the front i was wonder what other peoples experience of using them was.

Any suggestions what tyres i could use?

For general xc use nothing wider than 2.1

I love my Geax Barro Mountain, and I noticed that nextdaytyres are now selling them in 29".

Fantastic tyres for me.

I run an ignitor 2.35 70a on the rear during summer. It's great for the back of the bike as it drifts well.

For that reason I would never have it up front. It'd be awful. But then so are bikes with odd wheel sizes.

26" 2.1 ignitor exceptions (62a eXC) over here, front and rear. I find them very predictable and work well on the front. They wash out a bit if you are trying to steer the bike round corner which reminds you to ride properly. Once you get them lent over the big side nobbs bite and you've got a very nice light weight, fast rolling, grippy tyre. I'm running them tubeless btw with ~27psi in the front.

Always been a fan of ignitors. must get some more. Usually on the rear although never had problems on the front, but now have some 2.4RR in the front instead and theyre fine for now. No idea what they;ll be like in winter, so will probably go back to ignitors F&R then.
