[#3086949]

Hi I just bought Thes frame & fork Tora 318 with the intention of replacing the forks with these Tora 302's i bought off ebay. Now I'm reading that the 318s are better because of the motion control but my LBS who are building the bike up for me say the 302s are better. What should I do? I'm thinking of phoning them and telling them to leave on the 318s.

Thanks
Andrew

sell both forks and buy something lighter? The first link says it has 302s as well.

The ebay ones will be heavier due to the U-turn and I doubt you will use the fork over 100mm anyway as it is more than the frame will likely be designed for.

Didn't notice that! I don't have the bike in front of me but i'm sure they had 318 on them. They definitely had motion control written across the top.

the other thing to bear in mind is, do you fit into the range of weight that the (std?) coil spring fitted to the ebay fork is for? Otherwise it's seemingly a bugger to get the right one, with the air fork, you can just keep adding air..

Phoned the bike shop and the fork on the bike is a 318 so i'll leave it on.
