I am looking a buying a crankset I was thinking of getting double I have £200 to spend what would be the best for that price any advice would be great cheers eddy
what sort of riding do you do. more info?
XTR then sell the chainrings maybe? Or if you mean chainset, XT then sell chainrings and replace with a double.
Unless you're talking about a road double.

Deore HT2 is perfectly fine. SLX / XT if you want something posher. The Deore is pretty light as the arms are heavily scolloped out on the back. They do flex a little though, & obviously not as well finished as the more expensive options. I'd be speccing SLX if buying new. XT (for me), isnt worth £50 more than Deore.
SLX is really nice. I think it's stiffer than my old XT and looks cool.
