My loft was fully boarded but not insulated and full of junk, anyway I have got my current utilities company putting insulation in, I have cleared a lot of junk and put stuff in storage, I am lifting all boards and plan on either relaying them or some of them, I know you have to have air gap between board and insulation, so do I fork out for the stilts you can buy, which could be expensive, or can I get 3x2 or 2x2 and just screw down on top of existing joists. And board straight on top.
