The Niner carbon forks always seem to be highly recommended, the only downside is that they're pretty expensive!

The Niner has much more damping than it looks it should. I like it & would buy again.

Haven't ridden the others in 29, a 26 I had in '2 poles' format was best described as twangy.

I use a Singular Swift steel fork. Not the lightest but nice feel and only £70

I'm tempted to get a set of the Niner's but I'm not sure I can justify the price, my rigid's supposed to be a budget build 🙄

Are they really that good compared to something like the steel Salsa Cro-Moto forks?

As above. I have the £200 Niner steel fork, & you would be hard pressed to tell the difference.

No. Any colour you like, as long as it's pale blue.

For me it's choice between the Swift fork and the On-One carbon.

I've got swift forks and cromotos.

The cromoto is brutally stiff!

I'm considering the on-one monocoque carbon. Any feedback on it?

Just think of the savings over the years on servicing suspension forks - you see it is a budget build after all. 🙂

I have an on one carbon fork and it offers little comfort. Sorry to hijack, can anyone recommend a rigid 29er fork that offers a longer axle to crown height such as on a 100 or 120 fork?

Niner carbon, will take the rough with the smooth, defo worth it and in my experience, a budget build always escalates quickly......
