Looking to get a new bb for the bike and i've been looking at the hope BBs, BUT, they come in two options. Ceramic and Stainless bearings.
Question
- What's the advantage of ceramic bearings over Stainless bearings? (Apart from the bb being 3g lighter ;))
(I've searched and cant find a specific answer, apart from they run smoother)

ceramic sounds cooler, so we're prepared to pay more.

ceramic balls squish less so theres less energy wasted.

presumably they are both more rust resistant than regular ball bearings, but the ceramic more so?

Are they not rounder?

Better very high temperature performance when you're spinning fast (circa 5000 rpm cadence).
