Ok
So read loads on internet and that you need to lose the 17t, and because of the jump in gears recommendations are to replace the 15t with a 16t.
I have a SRAM cassette and cant seem to find replacement 16t cogs - can you just add in a Shimano 16t cog or is it worth just getting a One Up for example which comes with a generic replacement cog?

Didn't bother and the jump is there but I don't really notice it, doesn't really bother me.
