Just wondering if anyone has any recommendation for a route across Wales.something finishing in Aberyswyth would be good , maybe starting off the A49.Off road, minor roads etc but not too much carrying. wilder the better and camping opportunities great especially non civilised ones. the IMBA Trans Cambrian way is not really idea, too indirect yet only does the middle bit. Masses of green lanes to use I know. Ideas
Starting at Ludlow could be your best bet as it's a pretty straight line from there to Aber'. You'ed have some fantastic riding from the mid point onwards ... not too sure about the early stages though, but saying that there are some nice quiet hills between Ludlow and Knighton.
If it were me, I'd be looking at a route that went, Ludlow-Knighton-Rhayader (or Llangurig)-Devils Bridge-Aber.

Yeah thats the line I was looking at roughly. Any more
Sorry, meant to say that from Rhayader onwards sensible wild campng wouldn't be a problem or there's the option of a couple of bothies.
