Me and a mate probably heading to Majorca, end of March for a week getting the warm miles in (I hope),

Any recommendations for places to stay for a DIY trip? With a pool would be nice for swim training, but not essential.

Hotels or Apartments fine...

Ta. 🙂

Club Pollentia is a great place to go, has an outdoor pool loads of cyclists and triathletes use it as the food in the evening is good too.

we stayed at some self catering apartments in Portal Nous

Fantastic apartment in a private Villa with a pool and there was a nice little beach at the bottom of the road, the name the only thing I don't know. 😳

Stayed in a German oriented place at the far end of the beach east of Palma, nice sausages.

Hotel Duva in Puerto Pollenca would get my vote.
Might even be there myself then.

I booked ours though puertopollensa.com. Nice 6 person privately owed apartment near pine walk for £300 for the week, going in 2 weeks time. Hope the snow has gone by then!

Apartments Diana puerto Pollensa--cheap but more than adequate, been twice and had a good time. Majorca at this time of year is very teutonic. We were passed by a group of germans on a climb and the leader shouted 'achtung' to which it was very hard not to reply 'spitfeur!'[One for the older readers].
The really humiliating thing was that one of them had an artificial leg with a cleat attached!
