Can anyone recommend accommodation - self catered Chalet or large apartment - in any of the above locations for July / Aug next summer? There's myself and my 2 sons so ideally I would like to keep it economical.

Been to all 3 places summer and winter.
Summer is campervan, however serre Che is by far the biggest area and we got a very cheap apartment there for a snowboard trip. I would focus the search there
ucpa Have a place in villeneuve, along with the auberge de juenese (french hostel) hostel is cheaper!
Or look for an apartment in briancon to make it cheaper.
There was a new mountain bike chalet type thing but i forgot the name!
We stayed in an airbnb in Puy st Vincent a couple of miles up the hill from Vallouise. It has biking trails nearby and lots of alpine meadows etc.
Cant find the chalet on there now. But its a great little village. Its quite high up with brilliant views and biking from the doorstep.
