Anyone know any good accommodation for an MTB trip at Keswick or nearby? Must have a bike shed, parking, *not* shared bedroom, etc

It's one of those places that is a 2 hour drive so not desirable for a one day trip but would be good to spend 2 or 3 days there, with there being several options for rides nearby, namely Borrowdale Bash, Whinlatter, Skiddaw/Ullock, a lot of which I haven't done yet.  It seems like a good "base"

Call Graham at Harvington House, a B and B in Keswick. Graham is a keen mtber and will point you to good rides.

We recently stayed in a Hoeseasons park - Keswick Reach Lodge just north of Keswick 15-20mins from Whinlatter, was about £280 for the week in march. They do weekend Friday-Monday deals if you want a shorter break. We just put a sheet down and put the bikes in the kitchen. They have a bike wash (hose pipe in concrete bay) but at least it means you can clean it down before you bring it in.

A few of us stayed in the YHA hostel. Had a bike shed, was cheap. Not sure why a shared shower is an issue, but they were perfectly clean,  and lockable. There were three of us and we managed to get a room to ourselves. I don't think it had parking though. Just on street.

Borrowdale YHA is one of my fave’s, they have private rooms too, (as do most yha’s these days).

Thanks it seems like I'd best have a look at Borrowdale YH.

A shared shower I'm not arsed about, a shared bedroom is an issue!
