Are there any good places to go fat around Aberdeen?

Kirkhill would have been fun on a fatbike last night. The snow is still pretty deep in places, especially around Tappie Tower and the areas opened up from recent logging. I still had a pretty good time though, as did the other two chaps I bumped into.

I was fatting it at Kirkhill on Monday. Probably the best snow conditions I've seen this year. Perfect depth and crunchiness. It didn't even matter when I lost the trail a few times - just trundled between the trees. Great fun!

Balmedie/Newburgh beach for coastal. Lossiemouth further afield

Balmedie/Newburgh

There was once a 10km sandcastle built up there - one of the longest sandy beaches in the uk IIRC... and part of one of the largest sand dune networks including Trumps Menie estate *spits*.
