When changing the stock coil spring , how do you get purchase on the compression cap??
Using 32mm plus torque wrench but finding it very difficult to do without burring the edges.
Out of the bike stand the forks compress, in the bike stand theres too much vertical movement 🙁
Suggestions??

You need to grind the chamfered edge off the socket or use a spanner as the cap is so shallow.

I used a bench grinder and then a linishing belt to get it nice and flat.

Or buy a motorbike axle spanner. These are siz sided and the right side.

begs the question - "why don't fox supply an appropriate tool with forks retailing over £800?"
