Wet to service one earleir - had "reverse thread" in my head, as the inner bolt is reverse thread - mistakenly tightened the outer cap as a result, damaged the soft alu threads, and now cannot move the blighter.
Any tips for getting it out now? Have tried a screwdriver, or hammering in a torx key, but no luck, and no scope to grip it as it's flush with the pedal.
Might be able to grind a slot and get it out with a big screwdriver... But tbh that's usually a less effective approach than hammering in a torq
I did the exact same to my V12s which is why I ended up buying some Vaults. The V12s are on my wife's bike but one has no outer cap because I had to drill it out and doing so wrecked the thread.
