Okay,I'm now giving up on Racing Ralph's as a rear tyre. I like the tyre's grip and speed, it works well in mixed conditions, damp loose etc. BUT, this is my second tyres I've destroyed so far this year. Today, on an almost new tyre, 1 huge cut in the tread, through a knob. I managed to patch it with a worm. Then, 2 tread cuts going down another rocky track which I have ridden plenty of times.

So what to replace it with, fast rolling, works in loose conditions, and doesn't get cuts at the first sign of anything rocky?

Should have mentioned, I'm running the 29X2.25 Snake Skin tubeless.
I'm also running a Rocket Ron front with no issues.

If you want to stick with Shwalbe, the new compound rock razors look nice, quite fancy one myself for a rear tyre, but they are a bit pricey. Maybe hans dampf?
