Well, this is a weird one....I was just dusting (yep, dust!!) down my Dixon after a fun ride down my local when I noticed the main wiper seal on my RP2 was sitting a bit strangely. It was kind of bulging out a little at one point. I gave it an aircan service a few months ago and figured it might have become dislodged during reassembly, although I'm sure it was fine when I refitted it to the bike....ive just stripped it down and basically the inner ridge of the aircan that the seal seats on has BENT, yes, bent!! Just at one point it is too narrow for the seal to seat. What's going on?! I don't understand how this could happen, it was fine before. Think I'm gonna need a new aircan which is a major ball ache as I was going to sell the bike this month to fund a newbie that I've been saving for. Any ideas folks?

Had it happen on my RP2 too. Got a new aircan (and cheaper without decals). Fine since. Don't recall how I might have done it. New aircan isn't too much of a ballache, at least you don't need a new shock (well I didn't anyway).

Used to happen all the time when Fox shocks 'sucking down' was all the rage.
IIRC it was the main air seal leaking and bleeding air into the negative chamber until the pressure blew out the shaft seal, bending the air can at the same time.

Thanks guys, not that it sounds like good news! The weird thing is, the shock has been running fine, no loss of pressure or funny noises. I replaced all the seals when I serviced it too not long ago, or is the seal that's leaked one not included in the service kit? I think I'll give mojo a shout later, see what they have to say about it, seems like a design fault to me....

Failing that, it looks like a Corset sleeve from TF is cheaper than the basic replacement from mojo. Quite tempted as I'd quite like a more progressive end stroke...

It's an air can replacement job. The lip is probably cracked where it joins the main body too.
