Are A2Z brake pads any good? With prices for Shimano rising I might need to try something a bit more affordable.

Not a clue. Bought some of their cheap nice looking brake rotors, they have been fine so far, fitted last september.

I've found them to be great - cheap and IMHO they work as well as Shimano ones.

I've run A2Z for a number of years, and found them to be very good in all conditions, wet, dry, gritty dusty been reliable. Ran them in the Alps last year too with no issues on long down hills.

I've run them on BB7s for a couple of years now. And no problems. The pads have lasted well.
I also like their QR skewers. Cheap and work really well compared to Hopes.
