Having missed another sunny evening's ride through work and commute creep, show me the view from your local hill to depress me further. No cheating, has to be the hill on your local, straight out the door loop.

Overbiked. ๐Ÿ˜€

[img] [/img]

This is the half way point of my short off road loop. Pretty much uphill to here, then down to the track above the right grip. Short easy climb along the top of the ridge, then downhill almost all the way home.

(Great idea for a photo thread, by the way!)

This was the view on Sunday from my local "hill"

It may look flat but don't knock it, on a recent 20 miler I totalled just over 72ft of elevation!

Taken about three weeks ago just off the way of the dead route featured in the latest issue. Takes about an hour or so to ride to from my house.

This is the furthest point out of my loop. I stop have a snickers and watch the planes come into Gatwick. Then on my way before I seize up!

Can ride (and carry!) there in an hour from the door, as nearest decent hill. 20 mins up Whinlatter tarmac, then off road.

Got out of work at a reasonable time, trains almost ran on time, home......exhale.......find my Soul asylum. Not the best view (some of the above are stunning), but it is local, it is green and it works for me. Zippykona, that looks very "local" too....checks Strava flybys ๐Ÿ™‚

My local 'big' hill is about a 45min cycle from home then another 45 mins (for me! ) climb. On a nice day though, it's worth every pedal stroke.

Might have to head up there tomorrow if it stays dry (it gets really badly cut up in the wet), a great wee hill.
