I'm shopping for a new chainset and the SLX is listed in 170mm and 175mm. What is this a measurement of? Thanks

...from centre of BB axle to centre of pedal axle.
175mm is "normal". 170mm is a nod to the shorter rider.

center of bb mount hole to center of pedal spindle hole.

The general advise is - if you've got short legs - 170, average, 175, long 180 and extrapolate from there.
And then there will be a great debate about whether it makes any difference anyway.
