I'd maybe give you 'more pleasant than riding through town', but dunno if I'd say thats a shortcut buddy. 🙂

Great little video. I have used that route recently. It’s nicer than using the main road. The little tunnel under the A9 is very near to our holiday house.

Is it really a Burnside ride if you don't ride through the wee tunnel? We always park at the big shopping centre/hotel do da as it's free, quiet, loads of space and has decent loos and a shop for posh juice. Then you get a nice bit of singletrack before that tunnel on the way up, just a tiny bit of tarmac through the houses before linking into the singletrack climbs. I miss burnside

Haha I recognise that tunnel from when I tagged some high burnside trails on to the end of the Burma road circuit. The guy from bothy bikes showed me how to find it.

All of it, yes

I could do with a leaf blower at the moment.
