Ok then,theres been lots more interest in Fatbikes on here nowadays... folk are realising they arnt just snow bikes...but are actually better on sand and shingle/stoney shores and as you may know we live on an Island :o unlike some trails that can get too wet then soft and sensitive to ride the coast is there all year round to go ride- High tides excempt!, alot of folk were genuinely interested in buying the complete Salsa Mukluk fatbike here in the UK when released- except Ison have decided not to release it here in the UK :cry: well Salsa you just lost a lot of possible sales, not just in the UK but alot of european riders who buy through the UK,and there is alot more interest in Euorpe than the UK in them, but anyway i know On One are listening in and what i am wondering is firstly are/would you consider a fatbike frameset for production? you have the tech and experiance in frame building production to push this more than anyone else proberly at present in the UK, the biggest hurdle for most bikers interest in buying one is justifying one due to cost, an inline frameset using a 150mm rear hub/135 front hub with 47mm trials rims is the cheapest way to do it...also allowing a 29er wheelset to be fitted,horizontal dropouts with mech hanger allows multiple gear setups, and we have all the companys here in the UK to supply the nessecery parts for a complete bike, Hope,Middleburn and DMR provide all that is needed,only a 100mm BB is a non UK company off the wall product. so... if you would buy a fatbike frameset from One one to run as a fatbike and 29er add a comment please and we can forward this to them, if there isnt any interest from them maybe another frame builder is interested, this post isnt posted for views on these bikes etc...but for feedback, if you dont like them or a non believer then fair enough thats your view and your entitled to it, but if you want to buy one here in the UK (or Europe)without the hassel of uninterested importers... i have one already and another half built so dont really need to be doing this but kinda want to as its another form of cycling and has for me been alot of fun... so add your name if interested,thanks :o

we're working on this area at the mo - good to see the interest. we support a couple of riders who ride snow races and it kick-started a discussion about snow bike viability as general use bikes, so there is a sample being worked on.

I've been thinking about building up a fatbike for a while, the 29er is good out on the sandbanks, ok on the sand in the winter, but once summer comes round it can't handle the ploughed sand, so a fatbike would be perfect. If On-One were to make a fatbike then I'd probably get one.

quite a few interested folk then!,
seems the collective feeling is something readily available in the UK,
at a sensible price to afford yet another bike!
off the shelf/no parts sourcing,
and 29er wheel swap out for 2 bikes in one is most folks ideal...

I'd definitely be interested.

I'm on my 2nd On-one and am really considering the salsa enabler and been dreaming about a fatbike for a while
(yes I live on the coast, yes my present bike is a 29er)
