i have been asked to help with the bike show intro shore stuff
Hey Jedi, best of luck. I've met you a couple of times, you won't remember 'cos it was ages ago but I remember purely because of the infamous introduction I witnessed of "Hi, I'm Jedi", "Hi Love Wookie, pleased to meet you".
I reckon this will be a good move for you, definitely something I think you'll be good at and I doubt you'll look back.
All the best.
So get some plugs on here for courses prices etc!
What sort of training are you talking about? Will it include normal as well as 'jedi style' riding at heights?
Would be very interested in both.
Well done.
Excellent news. Congratulations.
the skills coaching wont be mtb style specific.
in other words xc,freeride,dh its all basically the same skills applied
Yeah but would you teach AM freeride light ๐
i can teach pigeons to fly
ROFLMAO
im serious..... ๐
i have developed my coaching over the years and now after my ctc course i have a name for some of the processes i go through when coaching.i got amazing feedback from ian warby, bob cambell and rich kelly who were the instructors.
as for pricing.......i wont be cheap or expensive.i'll be worth it
Excellent news Jedi, I wish you all the best with it ๐
Jedi: I understand you're southwest based? Once I get started I understand it's strongly recommended you assist other leaders.
If you ever need a free assistant I'd be very happy to help out! Got to log my 20 personal rides in the mean time LOL!
im southeast.
i will cover the whole uk
ooooh wher ein the SW? im in Bristol, after a few bad crashes I have lost a lot of my nerve and my riding is half what it was, i could do with a course ๐
im in hertfordshire but will offer a coaching on your local trail service
Well done and good luck with it. Keep us informed on prices.
Tracey

What a good man, one day I'll come to you to learn to cycle off-road properly. Keep us posted on prices and locations please.
Well jedi, if you're ever down this way and want a dogsbody let me know!!
Nice one Tony.
I wish you all the best for your future venture, you deserve it mate. [highfive]
getting work offers within cycling is awesome
I'm totally BUZZING for you mate - know how much this means and I'm so pleased to see the positivity from yourself and others about this - and totally agree with them on it - you'll rock doing this!!
this could be an interesting angle to include!!! especially if you are visiting locals trails - which by the way sounds like a great idea.Ton - you wanna choose a suitable bike for me...........
This sounds like its gonna be the Mutts nuts!

B.
thank you for pushing me bushwacked ๐
No worries, its not like you've never pushed me into doing something!!!
Dropping into a 9ft bowl springs to mind, along with doing a 6ft spine and riding across narrow shore 6ft up ๐ What goes around comes around as they say!
Can't wait to hear all about it!
i never pushed you. i showed you how and gave you the skills too be able to
True, you showed me how to do it and how to overcome my fears!
Great news jedi! 8)
Now my little lad could do with a lesson or two on his newish BMX!
How about 8.00am tomorrow on the half-pipe in our park? ๐
email me then ๐
jedi congrats!! hope it all goes well for yourself. On the topic of mtb qualifications i'm in two minds which route to go whether it be SMBLA or CTC.. which of these two hold the greater wieght in the industry?? its confusing!! i've completed my SMBLA logbook but seeing this and other its making me rethink.
its more about what you want to actually do with it
i want to use it as a career, guiding UK and abroad (i know its extremely hard to guide in france)... then hopefully have my own company.. so which qualification would suit this??
thats leadership not coaching so either will suit
ok cheers jedi.. good luck
no, good luck to you on your journey
You certainly have an effect on people Tony, I'm not sure it's all good ๐
