[#1320367]

I’m after some recommendations for a new mountain bike for £700-£800 max.

The 140mm GT XCR or theCarrera Banshee X are my considerations at the moment but what else is out there. Yes I know they are very different bike but I`m undecided, Cheep full sus and add to it over the next year or half decent Long travel HT.

Help please

Cheers B.

m doing some fairly hard riding on the XC bike and I think I need something a bit more aggressive.

You can't beat them Boardmans for value. I was dead cynical when they came out (kit's so good the frame must be sh1t) but now I have one. I was wrong.
Mate's got a full carbon Carerra which is also dead good.
Once you remove the stickers they're twice as good, obviously.

That very pink. I do what to use it off road at weekends and I`m not that hard core.

I am 36 with knackered knees

The Boardman dose sound good in the reviews but don’t you think it looks a bit flimsy?

I have a Carerra now and think its great bike, just a bit limited.

The pro flex looks like the sort of think I`m after :o) nice.

I have have had a go on specialized FSRXC and hated it, it was just worst riding position.just as well its out of my price range.
