Im going to be delayed going on the family hol, so rather than take a second car i thought i would train and then cycle.
When i put Aberystwyth to Abercastle into google it throws up several options, one of which is a cycle route. Can i then input this into my etrex 30 as a route, if so how do i export it? Or am i being dull and should i use Komoot?

Surely the solution is to strap your phone to the bars? 😉
I would suggest using a tool other than google to plot a cyle route, as google will not always follow the most suitable routes for cycling - it will sometimes (often) take you along busy roads rather than a quiet side road running parallel, then take you on a long detour via a cycleway rather than using a more direct route
I often start by using cyclestreets.net thn perhaps compare that to Komoot to see if there are any wild differnces
I use BikeHike which allows you to view OpenStreetMap and Google side-by-side or CycleTravel which allows you to mix road/off-road routes:
Both export as gpx files.

If you've got access to Komoot, just sort out the route there? It will at least give you traffice free options if they exist on your route.
Ive used komoot...i was jus being lazy and wondering if it was possible.
Komoot gives a far better interface and tweaking option.
