End of the month I'll be staying in Taddington east of Buxton. I'm looking for a 30-40 mile or so off road route, any suggestions?

Cheers in advance

Some of these might inspire you - and maybe you'll buy the book:

Yeah your closest to the wye valley route in the white peak book, plenty of options to extend north along the pennine bridleway from there.

My favourite south peak ride is to mix the 5 dales circuit with rowsley circuit, about 45 miles if memory serves correctly, but your not really south peak I'd say so don't know if you want to ride from the door.

I'd definitely look to head north if the weather isn't the best, your not far from hope/Edale/kinder routes there which are always better in the wet than the white peak, you could probably get up to them on the bike from where you are.

Cheers. I have a route for the Dark Peak side of things I ride a few years ago. May just head north and ride that again then.

Dark and White do a three-counties MTB thing each Autumn from out of S Buxton, maybe take a look at that route for some ideas?

Good route with a lot of variation, found it fairly hard on the fitness myself - maybe not one for poor weather. Some fun technical stuff but they avoid anything properly difficult in these sort of routes - There's fruitier stuff available around Hollinsclough, for example.
