Hi,

Anyone know a good website for calculating frame sizes please?

I am currently riding a merida transmission frame 18" (medium I guess) with a very long top tub length so feel quite stretched out which I like and think is good?

I am just over 6ft, and really unsure on frame size when buying on here without being able to test...I am thinking of another full suspension frame with around 120 to 140mm of travel.

I think I should maybe just look for large frames, would this be ok? or can it be done by looking at inside leg, arm length, full height etc? I keep looking at other medium frame but they all seem to have shorter top tube lengths. What are the benefits of shorter top tube length?

Thanks
Neil

I once plugged my details into the Performance Cyclist website and did not rate the results very highly. If you like the fit and feel of your bike have a look at it's geometry and see what is on offer that matches. If you are looking at longer travel and I presume a more trail oriented bike then consider a slightly shorter top tube and stem. Ultimately nothing comes close to trying the possible purchase out before you buy.
