I hate training on mine so it only really gets used when road and trails are both too icy or there is a hurricane blowing. But mine just clamps the bike via the rear quick release and I've just noticed that this makes it great for practising manuals. Just make sure you have something soft behind you as hitting the rear brake to bring the wheel back down doesn't work ๐Ÿ™‚

It's also a lot easier to set the sag (sitting or in attack position) with the bike help securely.

Maybe it wasn't such a waste of money after all.

I've borrowed one just now... Had a decent sized crash on tuesday and couldn't really walk, just lurching around with it strapped to the max using a stick. Decided last night to have a wee gentle spin and see what happened. What happened was, my knee went ka-sproiiiiing and I could feel stuff moving about inside it, and after that, I could walk! It's a MIRACLE!

Wirth its cost alone last feb when i dislocated my shoulder and couldn't do anything but ride the turbo and watch dvds! It also works well as a repair stand and perfect for setting up brakes and gears!
