OK, I'm aware of the 'sick as a dog...' mega-thread and know that there are some good lightweight tents mentioned on there but I don't really fancy ploughing through 59 pages of posts if I don't have to...

I'm not bike-packing, I'm on-road touring with a mate, staying in small campsites, occasinally wild camping. I currently have a Gelert Solo bought off Amazon for £30 and its ok for warm but not hot touring, but after a short one-night trip to test out my new bike (a Surly Disc Trucker - I like a lot!) this week its just too small and too badly ventilated. I can't sit up in it to get dressed/undressed, my toes touch the tent so my feet get damp through the sleeping bag, there's no space or porch to store my panniers inside the tent and the inside of my fly sheet gets far wetter than the outer due to condensation and poor ventilation. What I do like about it is its pack size and weight!

So I want a new tent which gets rid of all these issues but still has a small pack size, doesn't weigh too much and costs less than £100! I know I'm asking for everything but show me what you've got!

I've got a Vango Banshee 300. 2.6kg in full and packs reasonably small. Allegedly for 3 but you'd have to be very good friends, perfect for 2.

Ta matthew, only needs to be for one! My mate who I tour with has a Vango and is happy with it.

They do a smaller, lighter version called the Banshee 200 that is designed for 2 but would be great for one.

Orangeboy, that looks nice but the first google result for it was £450!! Way over budget for me.

Matthew, I've a strong feeling that's what my mate has.

Fourbanger, that looks like a definite option and the sort of thing I'm after...

A bump for the weekday crew.

Fourbanger, thanks for the offer but I'm in Yorkshire.
