Just replaced my 10 speed 36 t with ย a 40 t 9 speed cassette and chain on my fatty .It ย spins ok on the stand but when pedalling it sucks on ย around every 5th turn.
I'm sure it's worked before .
Am I swapping it back to how it was?

Worn chainring. When you swap part of a drivechain and then get skipping, sucking, slipping issues it's 95% of the time down to what you didn't swap.

Just fitted an old chainring I had and so far so good.
You've saved the day, thanks.
