Air damping used to be more popular, because it weighs chuff all. Cane Creek made the Cloud9 XC damper long before they made the CCDB.

A friend has their current telescopic ones the XCite it may be called. they're shit. They break regularly, and German:A then charge exorbitant amounts to repair them, or refuse to return them.

I'm readying a shitty stick to use not to touch these!

Nah, not for me.

What sacrifices have been made to get to that headline grabbing weight? I'd bet the performance gained by being 500-600g lighter than say an RS-1 is more than lost by the forks performance.

englund air cartridges worked v well in Judy forks

Better than stock ones or risse cartridges

Englund air cartridges IME were pants in USE SUB forks though, damping was inconsistent with heat build up and expansion of the plastic parts.
