I'm converting to 1 by 9 on my old SC Butcher. I need a 36 tooth cassette to get the gearing I'd like but can't find one that's on an alloy spider. I'm trying to avoid notching the Hope alloy freehub with a cheaper cassette.
Is there such a thing? Failing that it's Sunrace or Alivio 🙁

From my 9 speed days i think the biggest you could get on an alloy body was 34 tooth sram and shimano. But the bottom 4/5 were still loose pressed steel so didnt avoid the problem.
IRC The only 36 tooth cassette in 9 speed was the all steel shimano Alvio cassette.
