Looking for some decent MTB summer shoes. Got my DX's for the winter and DH days, so looking for some lighter and more vented shoes for the summer. (More XC kinda shoes, for all day riding)

Any recommendations? Shimano fit me quite well, but i'm open to other makes/models.

I'll probaby seek to try some on if they're not shimano, but can you give me a flavour of what is good around this price bracket?

Specialised BG Comp ... Super stiff for efficient pedalling with clipless ... Not really designed for walking but, I used them earlier this year for the Wheelrights C2C, which involved a lot of pushing and some rock climbing! They were great.

I got a pair of Mavic Switchback shoes recently, very impressed and under half price at Evans.

I'd second the spesh bg, but if you can stretch to sidis get those , allways used spesh shoes , recently bought sons 2nd hand sidis and love em . Hope this helps.
P.s. Only paid £25 for the sidis on flea bay.

Spesh BG comp for the last 4 -5 years, however I'm liking the looks of the Mavic Alpine shoes, although they're probably a bit 'soft'
