just a quickie as its tea time and i have to go for the take away (lazy sunday)
I am slowly building a hardtail (as money allows) and want to use my 8 speed gears etc off an old bike as the gears chain etc were only used on 2 or 3 rides. However I need to get a new rear wheel built as my current spare is not disc compatible. Can you still get 8 speed hubs, or do you use a 9 speed one with a spacer or is there no difference?

8/9 speed hubs are the same it will fit.
