Hello one & all.
I've just sold my bars which had a 9° bend / 5° upsweep.
I've bought ones with a 6° bend / 4° upsweep.
Cockpit reach wise how much difference in mm will this make please.

I'm sure somebody will be out with a formula shortly but as you have sold the old ones and bought the new ones, does it matter? Fir them and set seat and rotation etc. to suit.
use a tape measure?

Why did you change your sweep preference would be a better question.
20mm tops. What angle you rotate them to in the stem will make most difference to you.
by eye it looks about 20mm at teh tips between my renthals and nukeproofs. its definately noticeable with teh 2 bikes side by side.
it would vary though depending on how far you roll forward/back etc.

I was running Easton Havoc carbon bars with a 70mm Easton Haven stem & it felt spot on reach wise, but too high front end.
That's when I started looking for a wide flat bar or one with less rise.
I chose the Thomson Trail Carbon bars as the replacements.
The reason for posting this thread is I'm wondering if I will need to revert back to my 55mm stem before selling it, which it sounds like I will.
70mm Easton Haven stem FS shortly.....
Bar backsweep makes a big difference to how steering feels - which should be no surprise as changing from a 70mm to 50mm stem is considered significant. A 4 deg change in backsweep equates to a 20mm change in stem length on typical bar.
