A friends just tried fitting some 35 mm tyres on hybrid and they're just that bit too snug on the rear, can anyone recommend me a narrower tyre that has reasonable puncture protection as we get quite a few thorns where we go.
Our typical riding is some compact gravel with some bits "lumpier than others ... 30% road .... 68% and the occasional unavoidable short stretch of mud 2% ... if that.
Any suggestions much appreciated 🙂
Whatever you do, don't go for the Schwalbe CX comp ... Dreadful, dreadful tyre. Doesn't roll very well, feels very dead. Punctures as easily as a bunch of balloons at a kids party. Cheap ... But there's a reason why!

Cheers guys ... Just had a look at the Roubaix Pro ... they look perfect!!!
FIL loves is Roubaix pro tyres, well love is a tad strong. He likes them, he may harbour strong feeling for them but he's kept those under his hat. Who am i to judge a man's tyre love.
