A quick check on Google maps suggests around 170 miles of driving, 4.5 hours. Has anyone done a route at every Stane in a day?
Do you think it would be possible to do the 'big' routes at all the stanes in a day?
Without thinking it through too carefully I'd guess that it would be feasible to do each red route (assuming there is one) but substituting the blacks at GT and Kirroughtree would make it too much for a punter.
Anyone done it?
Yep a few years ago. Reds all round was helped by ae having bits closed. Was pretty broken by kirroughtree. Stayed at kippford, after dalbeattie, which was the last one. Went out to kirroughtree then back to dbt.
maybe in June if you're fit, and have someone else to drive
