So smallest_oab is struggling with the revoshift / gripshift on his wee bike, but can easily use the X7 on his brothers big bike...
Anyway of getting an older shimano (7sp?) shifter to work with 6sp cassette, or should I try and get a 7sp cassette (screw on...) to fit his back wheel.
Bike is Kona Hula, hub is formula(?) and shimano mech...

isn't the spacing the same from 6 to 8 ?

however, my 2 girls had revoshifters when they started and managed no bother - are you sure cables are clean etc ?

You could get some Shimano TX50 6speed shifters. £24.99 / pair.
