Just building up a 456 for the missus and using a spare Shimano HT2 bottom bracket. Can anyone tell me how many spacers I need? I'm guessing 2 drive side, 1 non drive?

Thanks in advance

as long as you are talking about the 2.5mm spacers 😀 (XT BBs can come with some smaller ones too)

Does it matter which side they go on i.e. could I put 1 on the drive side and 2 on the non-drive side? The reason I ask is that I'm trying to reduce the chainline.

Not sure if it will be the same but I needed two on the drive side and one of the non-drive with my SLX cranks...
