looks like i am going to have to change the bearings on my top fuel again.

So, what are the best sort of bearings, full compliment, caged, anything else....

and before someone says full ceramic, money is a consideration.

thanks

Full complement 'should' last longer

Mb bearings dot com or simply bearings dot com

About 4 quid per bearing

To be honest the type of bearing is not important on frame pivots as they never complete a full rotation in there lives, i would go with stainless to try and keep rust at bay as long as possible as this is what causes most frame bearings to fail.

That's one way of looking at it

Another would be that the forces going through the pivot are quite significant so the choice of bearing does matter

A full complement bearing means that more bearings sit in the race than a non-full complement bearing. This means that the radial forces through the pivot are spread through more balls in a full complement bearing and they will last longer.

For dropout bearings (in a four bar linkage) the forces aren't as strong (less leverage) so you don't need full complement and you can get away without them. Likewise with the bottom bracket pivot. Less force so doesn't require FC.

On a swingarm pivot I'd go full complement and probably try and go for as strong a bearing (material-wise) as possible
