My 6+ year old Dainese Safety jacket is coming to the end of its life and I need to get replacment for this summer's Alpine excursions.

661 Vapour suit looks like it's going to be the nearest equivalent to the dainese without needing a second mortgage (especially if I can get one of last years ones) JE James are doing the '09 version for £70, whereas a Dainese Performance jacket is £250!

Not sure on sizing though. I'm 5'10", wiry build (somewhere between 36" & 38" chest, weigh 10stone). I've tried an XS which other than being too narrow across the shoulders was almost spot on, and I've tried a medium which was just WAY too big all round. Looks like a small ought to be the right answer, but I'm not going to get chance to try before I buy and I'm very much of the opinion that like helmets, fit is all on this kind of thing. The Dainese is a large (but fits spot on), just to confuse matters!

If you've got/had a Pressure suit- how's it holding up to use (& crashing)? Always a little bit suspicious about the longevity of a lot of 661 products (although my KS kneepads have been OK)

Cheers!

I've got one, recently bought, but had quite a bit of use. Holding up well, does the job well too. Would like a bit more protection on the inside forearms, but that's only because of scratches from plants and stuff. Sounds like the small is the way to go.
