We've been busy down in Afan prepping the "natural" section for this event.
It's going to be a cracking section, and a good addition to the Afan trail network to offset the trail closures that have plagued the forest due to P. Ramorum.
We're not quite finished yet, as we're cleaning up an old secret DH track to create it. But we put in some really nice features more suited to trail bikes, but with a more DH bias.
I'll post a link to some shots on the lodge Cycles / 3 Valleys MTB Club websites of the new sections after Steve Parr has riden it this weekend, to confirm it meets his needs.
IT's going to show what the Afan valley has to offer other than the main trail network. And it is good. More natural lines, more tight twisty and steep sections that don't mess with the flow.
Plus we've got much more if you're into more gnarly trails.
I'm really looknig forward to this now. Couple of days to go now ๐
Sounds promising! My first event of this kind ๐ Hope it's worth all that hard-earned'
