I've read the posts on effected geometry ,lowered BB and pedal strike .. As I've been building from the frame up I'm not just changing the wheel size like most of the talked about experiments I've read ..so here's my thinking (please correct me where wrong I'm no pro in building bikes ).
So I've got a 29er frame .I've added better 29r forks with 20mm of extra travel and I've got a crank with upto 15mm shaved off the stock length . So assuming I've put a bit off extra heigh on with the shox ,shaved a pedal strike or 2 off with shorter crank arms and then shortened or increased the the stem length accordingly ...where does this leave us
Hi, I don't really understand the question I'm afraid.
But have you considered 650b rear / 29in front?
Worked really well for me...
I'm mid build I can't afford the wheels I want just yet and been offered some dirt cheap but there 650s
So I looked up about it online ,,experiments report the above but they didn't put bigger forks on shorten the crank or alter the stem .. All things that I could include In the build ,,
I've got a small clockwork 29r frame with rockshox 30 golds 120travel and 165 xt crank
Really good read that mate do well
