Any ideas. Its to go on a identiti aka. Fit for 26" and 650b, fancy going 650b with a rigid flavour.

Any ideas what fork would be good, would 29er rigid suit?

Thanks

Sam

It's more a question of how much axle to crown length (with suitable offset) you require for a given frame design, than a specific 26/27.5/29er fork.

I've had a 26er 2.5 in both of mine (Hylix and Exotic) with bags of room to spare... So other'n possibly a wee bit of extra height it shouldn't be an issue with most.

I'm looking at an axle to crown of about 500- 520 I rekon.

Although I'm not entirely sure

Is that the unsagged fork length? You want a bit shorter than that.

Long-travel 26er = 470mm rigid

29er forks in the main rigid are 470 to 490mm axle to steerer length.

nice work guys, think i'll get me some 29er forks then as the frame is best suited to run a 26" fork @ 130mm travel

Most 26" rigid forks will have room for a 650b wheel and tyre - why not just get one of those?

You'll already have a slightly larger diameter wheel without increasing the a-c on the fork by fitting something designed to solve a different problem - you'll end up with a much taller front end.

Ah, so you think I could get away with running a 26" fork such as a exotic carbon.

I was worried whether this would affect the geometry of the frame too much
